New adventures down Clarity Lane.
Skin doctoring- building on dermoscopic, dermatological and surgical skills under the guidance of an expert mentor.
Second draft in progress on a novel - idyllic tropical setting, a spirited young woman, a conservative family, love, loss, betrayal, revival, all in the green abundance of nature and the Grandmother Tree.
Poetry performance- bringing words to life. Coming soon to a poetry slam near you.
An exciting collaboration with a friend-since-childhood, who was once granted a visa for being ‘an alien of extraordinary ability’ (which wins her a point in the game- stay tuned for the details on our scavenger page).
Claire Noonan was born in Scone, NSW, just in time to enjoy most of the hits of the 80s. She grew up writing poems and stories, riding horses without much skill or confidence, and playing any musical instrument she could find. She poured over the medical journals her GP mother brought home from work, particularly the pictures of unusual rashes. After discovering the rich tradition of Buddhist philosophy as a teenager, she committed to a career of service in medicine. After completing high school at Scone Grammar School she went on to spend 8 years at the University of Sydney studying Medical Science with honours in Neuroscience, followed by the Graduate Medical Program. Following her hospital years, she embarked on further years of vocational training, culminating in a Fellowship of the RACGP. Her career in GP has included provision of psychotherapy, locum work, practitioner wellbeing workshops, and skin medicine.
